Salutations:
Thanks - I'm hoping you are correct about the cruise/boost problem myself. It's not actually stalling at base - it's just limited at the top.
As to SRS - all kidding aside I guess it depends on your ability to get under the dash from below to get at it. I'm old enough that it is particularly uncomfortable unless I manage to pull out the drivers seat and everything under it to work under there.
There are posts that SRS error can be related to a loose connector or bad wire to the front sensors - but a scan at the dealer for mine claimed that it was the SRS ecu itself and despite resetting it - it came back immediately on start up.
Personally - I'm likely to remove the dash SRS system element (just an driver's airbag) as the car is not ever going to be resold. I use my belts religiously and while I can guarantee you need airbags in later SAAB model lines to make the safety standards - the body shell on the 9000 itself is designed to absorb all the energy you are ever likely to engage with it.
... ask me how I know ... :( ..
I guess what is concerning me is wether or not the cruise control tripping out by finding a SRS light - and by the same signal - then limiting boost as well?
I know on the vacuum based cruise - this would not likely be the case. However, given the first generation all-fly-by-wire system we sport in the 1993 model line - I'm not absolutely sure this is case.
Anyway - the dash is coming off sooner than later (some bulbs need replacing) and I'll poke around for the SRS controller again. If I find it, I'll post some pix back out.
Cheers and good luck.
