Okay, time for some cosmetic advice from the lot of you.
I pulled off the front spoiler on my 93 Aero yesterday. It was badly chipped and had some cracks. So I sanded off all 3 coats of paint and then the factory primer (PIA), so I have it down to bare plastic. The vanes that run from the lower lip to the upper side are kind of warped and the plastic is a little chewed up.
I was thinking of placing a mesh grill insert into this opening to kind of cover up the vanes. Is this too rice? I personally like the look. The mesh would be painted metallic black, to match the spoiler.
The car is red, but I am painting the spoiler metallic black charcoal to match the refinished Aero wheels (do a search, I've posted pics of them before). I figured it was much easier and cheaper-I am a cheapo- to go with the black than have a shop try to match faded 93 Imola red. Plus it gives a unique look.
I will post pics of the whole surley ordeal once I am done....
I welcome your comments, quips, and questions....
