I don't remember them coming with any. I had Roberti SAAB (in Kingston, NY) do they work and I just figured they'd know what they were doing, they do in every other case.
The banging has gotten worse and this past weekend I changed my wheels and saw the inside of the left front (w/ the problem shock) was covered in what looked like brake fluid. BUT there is no brake leak I can find and the shock was COVERED with sludge and what looked like oil. I cleaned it off and installed the new wheel and took the car for a spin. When I got back the wheel, which had been clean, were covered in an oily substance and the shock, which had also been clean, was too. Has the shock lost all its gas/oil/whatever? The suspension is softer on that front left side and, like I said, the banging is worse. Both front are SACHS struts.
The back shocks, BILSTEINS, too were covered in slime, I cleaned them off at the same time and they were oily again too when I got back. The ride is extremely ROUGH in the rear though. At the part where the piston enters the sleave/strut/whatever there was a bluish/opaque liquid substance. Are these shot as well?
