Extremely intermittent blue smoke in exhaust.

Hey folks, it's been a while since I've had any problem, that's a good thing! Twice in the past couple months I have gotten blue smoke out the tailpipe. The first was a month or so ago when I went to start the car cold in the morning. It cranked normally, then cranking slowed down and for an instant it sounded and felt like the engine was stuck on something. But then it caught and started right up, expelling a brief puff of blue smoke. I didn't think much of it, just thought perhaps it was the result of me starting it the day before just to move it in and out of the garage.
A few days ago, after work (car had been sitting for about 5 hours), I started it up and decided to make some adjustments to my stereo in the trunk so I let it idle. After a few minutes it was putting out a fair amount of blue smoke. I drove off and it was still smoking a little bit, but that disappeared completely after I had gone maybe 500', and further idling before the engine warmed up produced no smoke. Normally I would never be in this situation, as I always drive off as soon as the warning lights have extinguished. The only exception is when testing the stereo, but up until this week I never had smoke at idle.
So, any ideas? The car is running great, does not use any oil between changes at 10k miles. I'm using Mobil 1 synthetic, though I'm unsure which viscosity. The turbo is original as far as I know.
