This applies if you're in the US, which I assume you are from the comcast webpage.
<<All I know is I have a 1995 SAAB 9000 CS, thats what the trunk logo and title say. It has a light pressure Turbo and no boost gauge. I haven't traced out the Turbo piping yet but I dont think it has an intercooler--I have one on my Volvo 940 Turbo.>>
If you have a '95 9k CS, then you have a 2.3 4 cylinder Light Pressure Turbo (LPT) engine with 170 hp. That was the only engine offered on the CS. You do have an intercooler, all 9000 turbos have intercoolers. You do not have a BPC valve, and your ECU is different...this is what makes it LPT.
<<Is the 1995 9000 CS by default known as an "AERO" or is the AERO designation a special variant?>>
You do not have an Aero. There were three models offered (from '95 to '97 at least): The CS, the CSE and the Aero (also Super CS in for a year or two). If your trunk says CS, then you have a CS. The Aero has different body mouldings, bumpers, spoilers, wheels and suspension. While it IS the same engine, the Aero has different software and turbo in its 5 speed form. The auto Aero is the same software/turbo as the CSE.
<<Finally what would I have had if I had a 1995 9000 CSE? or a straight 1995 Saab 9000 Turbo--or do I have a 1995 Saab 9000 Turbo, albeit a "Light" Turbo>>
If you had a CSE, you would have a 200hp 2.3t engine, or a GM 3.0 V6 engine. The CSE had some options that many CS's don't have like a spoiler, CD, HK sound, leather, sunroof, etc. Many CS's do have this stuff. The Super CS that I mentioned before (this is what I have..check out my pics) has everything that the CSE has, except the FPT (full pressure turbo) eninge. There is no straight 1995 9000 Turbo...they are all designated with model letters as follows:
CS: 2.3 LPT w/170hp
CSE 2.3 FPT w/200
--or--
3.0 V6 (not as common, most self destructed)
Aero: 2.3 FPT w/200 hp (auto trans)
--or--
2.3 HOT (high output turbo) w/225 hp (5 speed)
