My 9k has been getting really hot in traffic. I checked to see if the cooling fan was working. It wasn't, so I checked the fuse. Not only was it blown, it was almost melted! I replaced the fuse, ran the car to temp, and it melted it again! I tried to remove the relay, but it wouldn't come out. I took the fuse block apart, and looked at all the wiring. Everything looked good there. So I got a screwdriver, and pried the relay off the block. The reason it wouldn't come loose, was the #30 prong was getting so hot, the plastic around it had melted and had welded it in place. This is the prong that connects to the yellow/white stripe wire that comes off the 30 amp "high speed" fan fuse. (#8 on the block)
So do I have a bad relay, bad wiring, or a bad ground somewhere? How can I test this relay? I'm not real good with the electrical aspect of things.
