I've been trying to diagnose a smoke issue from the exhaust of my 93 CSE: smoke occurs at idle and upon startup, not on acceleration though. Here's the weird thing: when I bought the car (relatively recently), it needed a new vacuum hose from the turbo BPV, new cruise control valve (old one was broken) and new PCV grommet. ALl three of these resulted in a big vacuum leak, which has now been cured. The turbo, which only went barely into the orange, boosts now as it should just into the red, and the car runs perfectly, no CEL.

The smoke seems to have gotten worse, though, since I fixed the vacuum leaks. I can't seem to tell if it's oil being burned or excess fuel, the smoke is definitely grayish in color and hovers in the air.

Any ideas on what to check next?
