To answer your questions, I think all 9000s have constant motor mount problems. It's the nature of the beast. The 93 should be a better car as far as problems with the steering ram; Saab fixed the "weeping" and no power steering when cold problems. No more problems with the AMM as there isn't one on the 93s and up. No problems with cruise control vacuum leaks, as the accelerator is "by wire". Problems with O2 sensors seem to be less. The 2.3 engine is a very good engine, although it seems, thru production years, to come in various shapes and sizes, of which no parts are interchangeable. TCS in 93 was, interesting. It either gave you no trouble, or trouble all of the time. The latter could never be fixed, and the car should be sold for parts. One could rebuild the entire car, and TCS would still not work. However, I believe TCS could be shut off using a Tech II, but I'm not clear on that.
The headliner should be coming apart right on schedule, and the heater system probably should be taken out, and replaced following Quasimotors.com instructions. The speedometer is still fast by 5 mph. Structurally, my 93 hatchback is stronger than my 87, although I don't know how it has been stiffened. As with any used car, you shoulc be prepared to dump about $2000 into it initially, and expect to inject about $150 a month from that time out.
