You are right about the 15 spoke rims not being all the same. Victors link (Below) has the two different types. The ones you're talking about are called "Short Spoke" or "Square Spoke" (I've also heard "light"). Anyway, they made this later 15 spoke design in both 4 and 5 lug patterns, so make sure you get the 4 lug pattern if you're looking for a replacement.

(My parents' '92 9000S came with the wheels you're talking about... I like them more than the earlier 15-spokers)
