yes, I know the one you mean. I just changed the
o-ring on mine a couple of weeks ago while chasing
down an oil leak.
If yours is like mine it is also plastic, which
means it isn't bent or anything obvious like that.
It shouldn't go on until you about 1/2 quart low.
But I am out of ideas here - I had the same problem
with a Pontiac I used to own. I never was able to fix it -
cleaned the contacts, etc, replaced it and it still
stayed on most of the time. I jsut made sure I checked the oil every weekend and lived with it. It is annoying though -
kinda like a baby crying for no reason what so ever.
