I've been having problems with hesitation, slight "hiccups" while coasting for a long time now. Purchased the car with a bad DI and wrong plugs about 3 years ago, replaced it, all good for almost 2 years. Hesitation came back, had the dealer check it out and they said DI.. okay, so I drop in the spare that I had, car ran better but still not right. Another year goes by and now the surging idle and hesitation is getting worse.

At this point I've done all vacuum lines, coolant temp sensor, 02 sensor, nothing but NGK plugs gapped at .9mm and obsessively changed, air and fuel filters, run seafoam through manifold to clean out possible deposits. I also always make sure there is enough dielectric grease to avoid the DI getting fried that way. I was told they did a code check, took DI out and then reread to make sure it was the DI causing the problem. Before I put another new one in, is there anything else that could be causing it to go bad?? If I'm remembering correctly too, it's repetatively the 3rd cylinder misfiring. Just seems questionable to always be the same cylinder...

I've also noticed within the last 6 months, that when I get "hiccups" on the highway (feels like a slight drop in fuel pressure), I'm hearing a click from the relay area. Swapped relays without any improvment. Any insight/suggestions are appreciated!!
