I use M1 15W-50, in my '98 B234R year-round, with this proviso: having a pick-up as my 2nd vehicle, I won't start/use the 9000 if the temperatures fall much below 20 degrees F. However, if you mix 2 quarts of a 0W with 3 quarts of the 15W, I'm 95% certain you'd be reasonably safe in PA - I'm in MA which is probably a little cooler. Turbo engines have a pronounced effect on oil viscosity (they tend to lower it over time/miles), and many knowledgeable people in the Saab community (see Dr. Boosts' posts) use the higher viscosity to maintain the underside piston spraying function under low-rpm, high-torque conditions. Given that the greatest stess occurs at start-up, even the 15W is supposedly sufficient, flow-wise, to 0 degrees.
