Why do you need insurance on it if it's undriveable?

Personally, I would much rather sell a car like that as a whole parts car, but that is me, and I'm not really fond of tearing things apart. Though, it is a lot nicer taking something apart if you know you don't have to put the thing back together. :) Also, with large or oddly shaped items you can run up some pretty steep shipping charges which make the parts less appealing individually. But I have never parted out a car... I am sure it's possible or even likely to get more money selling piece by piece, it just takes a whole lot more of your time and effort, in my opinion.
