I am about to purchase my 3rd and 4th set (aero & minivan) of Nokians All weather tires.
If you live in a snow area and want to run allseasons the WR's are the perfect tire in my opinion. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and we see up to 5 months of winter with extreme conditions at times (-40 Celcius). We also experience heat in the summer with highs up to +40 degrees Celcius)
Winter Handling: When brand new they are as good as a snow tire. As you get some wear they are still as good or better than brand new all season.
Summer Handling: I run 225/17/45 WR's on Ronal wheels and my handling has drastically improved over the all seasons that were on the car when I bought it. I am definately a spirited driver and enjoy my aero suspension to the fullest. I reach the limits of the stock suspension well before any grip is lost. I have never thought " gotta get some performance tires"
Rain: Fine in my opinion
Wear: My initial wear seemed similar to that reported with performance tires (too fast) but has since improved. Even with my driving style I expect that 40,000 miles could be had.
Noise: The older NRWs' were are noisy but the WR's are average to quiet
P.S. The NRW's on my minivan have 50,000 miles on them and could likey get another 10,000 of summer driving
Ronal has had a winter package that is a great wheel / wr combo
