When I had mine done, it was $1550. That was for new everything: Disc, pressure plate, t.o. bearing, slave, master, rear main seal, hydraulic hose. Shop rate was 80 an hour, 8 hours of work, $75 for machining the flywheel. So I got raped on the parts. Mechanic is a Saab specialist in Fairfield County Connecticut, so he can charge more than most. Probably could have shopped it around and gotten it cheaper, but it is the only car I had, and I figure maybe I would have saved 200 bucks at the most. Plus the shop has a good rep, and I knew they would do it right. Figure it will last at least 50K miles, more like 75K, so I won't have to have it done for many years. If I had better tools, and someone to help me that knew what they were doing I would have tried it myself, but I might have messed it up, and then what? Sorry about the rambling, slow day at work today.
