I hate winter. Yet we still have two weeks before it officially starts. One consolations is the first day of winter is the shortest day of the year. From that point on it is down hill, longer anf longer daylight but certainly not temperature.
Don't think any engine damage is sustained on yours. My wife had one time driven the 94cs turbo with a severed belt until steam came out of the engine when she pulled in to her office parking lot and yet there was no damage. That shows how determined she was when she has her mind set on something. Our luck. She said she couldn't stop. You know how it is. As long as the car moves she'll keep driving.
I'd inspect the tensioner top bolt carefully for any crack. Beyond that, replace what went bad is probably the only thing to do.
