One sad thing though is that they seem to have a low quality. I'm on my third Amp clamp in 6-7 years.

They just suddenly stop showing proper values (or flickering back and forth) and you can for awhile correct it by using the thumbwheel to zero out the value but after awhile you have reach the end of how much the thumbwheel can compensate.

The big 200/2000A one, I took apart and disconnected the circuit board and plugged it back in and got it to work for awhile but than it quit on me again, and the 600A one died ones after only a year in service and I never got it to work again.

Those amp clamps also comes in handy when looking for draw from the battery since you don't have to disconnect any battery leads, just hook the clamp around the battery cable.

As for probes.

It is one probe out there that blows all others away.
It's made by a lab scope tekkie Phil Fournier.

AESwave sell his probe but doesn't list it anymore in the catalouge. It is superb to get in between wires in a bundle to fish out and hook the tool around one single wire and attached your volt meter or labscope around the shaft of the probe.
