So I took a break from my diligent studying to relax for a bit and went up the local mountain windy road. It's so very calming and gets my mind off of insane college professors in a "Focus on the road or die!" kind of way.
Well... Anijta, my '86 9000Turbo, 5spd, 190k mi., performed as beautifully as she always does, holding the road like she was glued to it. As I'm approaching a turn I decelerate in third a bit before deep braking, and leave the trans engaged going through the corner and smoothly accelerate out... Normally. A few times, more often when I was going down the hill, when I would accelerate, she would sputter and hesitate to and extreme of saying she bucks during these tantrums, only for a second or two, but long enough give me time to coax her verbally (Nicely, of course. I love my car.). Once or twice she hesitated long enough for me to describe as going, but not accelerating, nor decelerating. Again, this happened more often coming down then going up. She doesn't do it all the time, and I try to go up at night to reduce the amount of people on the road (more for their sake).
Now I'm pretty handy with a wrench, and I know my car like the back of my hand. Mainly 'cause I've taken a lot of it apart fixing, replacing, and rebuilding things. But I could only think of a few things that it could be, and before I get too in-depth taking things apart and testing them, I was looking for some other out-side opinions.
Things I think it could be:

-- Fuel Pump
- It is the original pump with 190k on it. under deceleration the vacuum is still high and might cause the FPR to relieve some of the pressure in the rail, and the pump isn't strong enough anymore to replenish it in time for heavy acceleration.

Ok, so that's the only thing that makes sense to me now that I'm sitting here thinking about it. I can't be electrical, mainly because it's intermittent and only under conditions. Also because I've replaced most of the ignition and engine control bits. ALL filters have been replaced and I am meticulous about the maintenance I do on that beast. All vacuum lines are somewhat new and have no chance of having holes. All rubber bits are quite new. All gaskets are in great shape (Save for the head gasket, don't know it's condition. But it's not leaking anything, so that can't be it, and must still be fully intact.)

So I'm at an impasse here and hoping I don't have to buy a $200 pump (Poor starving college student, not too much money for parts :P ).

If anyone has any help on that, I'd be much appreciated.
