not from an electrical fault in the car, it's building up static from passing through the air. i had a car that zapped me bad every time, like yours is doing.
i wear only cotton, generally, and my car didn't have vinyl seats. the seats were cloth, but yours should be leather if it's an aero.
try spraying some silicone on the seat, seat frame and carpet. not a whole lot, just a few stripes.
some fabric stores might have an anti-static spray, or try fabric softener (they usually contain a silicone-based oil that basically shorts out the static, allowing it to drain and dissapate)
try to touch a metal part of the car every few minutes while you're driving. i'm trying to think of a grounded metal interior piece and i can't. metal piece around the ignition key? parking brake cable? the sleeve portion of the lighter socket? maybe the shifter?
you could always start wearing a tinfoil helmet. this worked for me. (kidding)
it is a shocking pain in the ashtray.
