making turbo oil and water lines

has anyone sourced their own oil and water lines to the turbo? I had the water supply line in a 97 5 Speed Aero rot out and I'm faced with replacing with the $50 OEM part. I know when many people go with custom turbo chargers they fabricate their own lines. Any info on this?
