If the 9000 Aero was a stick there would be no question in my mind. Like the older 9000 and C900, theres not much you can't fix. The 9-5 is more refined but I just haven't embraced it like the 9000. I know someday I'll be forced to "upgrade" but as long as I can keep the Red Rocket going, she's my girl. As a mechanic at an independent Saab exclusive shop, I get to drive a lot of cars. I've had Saabs exclusively since 1980 starting with a used 77 EMS and then too many to mention. (a Sonett, a 5 dr turbo, lots of 9000 and 900 turbos.) The current fleet is: 95 cse and 87 conv (my wife), 91 9000 (mine), 89 9000, (son), 85 SPG (son). I really like driving the CSE and the SPG is as fast as I've seen(what was I thinking, he's only 20!!!) but the Red Rocket is my favorite. A customer has some e-code headlights on his Aero and it reminded me why I liked them. For my car's 200k mile present I finally found a set. What a difference!
