Valve cover differences

I am replacing a cracked valve cover on my '91-9kt and purchased a used valve cover from a newer model, I believe a '95 2.3, as a replacement. Anyway, I noticed that the newer unit has two breather tubes underneath and one of these tubes seems to be located very close to the timing gears. My original unit has only one breathing tube. Also, the upper timing chain guide is a bit diferent on the newer unit. Are the valve covers interchangable? It seems that the second ventilation tube should improve the crankcase ventilation system, but that just might be wishful thinking on my part. I am concerned by how close the tube seems to be to the timing gears.
Thanks for your thoughts,
Dan
