Just one word for you:
KROIL !!!!
Used properly the pain and anguish of broken exhaust studs can be
avoided if not 100% then at least very close to it.
It is a product of Kano Labs, which you can get online from their site
at kanolabs.com.
I have used it with great success and ease for over 20 years on totally
dead rusted things to get them moving again.
If you want direct testimony of it's use in this exact situation with
complete success - look up a wonderful mechanic who posts here and can
also be found as an advertiser sometimes - Christen Szeg.
For those of us that have found Kroil it is nearly a religious thing !
