Ok, so I re-timed it, using the "highest point of piston" method to determine TDC. It still doesn't run.
1. No more gas smell.
2.Checked vacuum lines... One that comes from the bypass valve IIRC has a loose end - cannot find a nipple for it. It isn't detailed in the Vacuum line routing diagram. The loose end comes from two lines together in sheathing. There is a "Y" nipple farther up the non-loose line from the sheath. I don't what to do with this vacuum line...
3. Checked and replaced plugs. Cylinder plugs 1,2,3 were very sooty, #4 looked clean and wet. New plugs did not help
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?
