Although only #1 plug seems to be oily, I am leaving clouds of acrid oily smoke wherever I drive. (I tell people "It's OK, it's a diesel !") I pulled the outlet pipe from the bottom of the intercooler and found lots of oil ! Pulling the intlet pipe from the turbo compressor I find I can wiggle the impeller shaft quite a bit so I guess it must be a "gone turbo" !
I disconnected the tube from the compressor to the intercooler inlet figguring to turn the car into a 9000S but now it will not start. If I move the AMM to some part of the intake tract that has air moving through it like between ihe I/Cooler and the manifold would I at least be able to drive the beast while I negioate a bank loan for a new Turbo ?
