Thanks I needed that. It will go a long way in solving my problem. I got some engine cleaner on the wire and it must have shorted out on the alternator. I was getting that area clean to change my motor mount some splashed up. I traced that wire up along the red cable inside the sleeve and it is bare anyway? I am going to put a new v/r on it when I change the motor mount and fix the wire. The battery light is not on and the battery does not drain I don't think I damaged the alternator.
