A couple years ago, I had just put new front rotors on my wife's 900. But, I forgot to pump the brakes to seat the pads.

I pulled out of my garage, into the alley and into my neighbor's driveway to turn around and park.

I put my foot all the way to the floor just before I hit his garage door. As it folded up over the hood of the 900, I noticed his Harley just a few feet in front of me. I pulled the e-brake and stopped just before I hit the bike.

BUT, my other neighbor was have a yard sale. So, as I exited the 900, still jammed under a crumpled garage door, I received a loud round of applause from just about everyone on the block.

My insurance agent thought it was the funniest thing he ever heard. The neighbor got a new garage door, my wife got a new hood and paint job, and I got higher premiums and urban legend status on my block.
