Well, I spent Saturday replacing the water pump on my 92 9KT.
The pump was still good, however the O-RINGS were all hardened and leaking.
There's one at the heater pipe, and 2 on the coupler to the block.
It's not the easiest job getting to it, so I put a new pump in, as well as new lower radiator and expansion tank hoses, with fresh G-05.
Got the bepu pump kit from eeuroparts.

I'd like to share my how-to.
If anyone would like to see pics of the serpentine tool that I made, send an email.

1.Jack the front up, remove the front right wheel.
2.Drain the coolant(remove the middle cover under the radiator, little black plug-does anyone know where I can get a hex head plug to fit that?).
3.Remove the fender trim(8mm nuts).
4.Remove the front section of the fender liner.(10mm bolts)
5.Attach the special serpentine tool, and slightly compress the 2 hooks on the tensioner assembly.
6.Remove the serpentine from the A/C pump and the water pump, get it out of the way.
7.Disconnect the solenoid wire & remove the A/C pump(3 bolts).Put it on a piece of wood between the motor and radiator.
8.Remove the A/C pump mount plate(3 bolts). Move the O2 sensor cable out of the way.
9.Remove the cooling hoses from the water pump,(2 hoses to the radiator & expansion tank, 1 pipe to the turbo-19mm).
Take the bolt securing the heater core pipe to the side of the motor out.
10.Remove the water pump(3 bolts).
11.Split the pump from the block plate, clean the old material off of the plate, and the old O-rings off of the block coupler.
12.Mate the new pump and gasket to the block plate with permatex.
13.Prior to popping the pump back on to the motor, soap up the O-Ring surfaces with a little bar soap. It makes it so much easier!

Reinstallation is the reverse of the above. It took an afternoon.
