I sent this info to dboone before. on the Mobil-1 website they state that if your vehicle is past the manufacturers warranty and you have been following the oil change per spec with Mobil-1 *and* you have a oil related engine failure (must be able to show it was oil related) that Mobil will warranty the repair.
http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/MotorOil/Oils/Mobil_Clean_High_Mileage_FAQs.aspx
and you will find under the "what happens if I use Mobil-1 and have engine problems" the following...
What happens if I use Mobil Clean High Mileage and I have engine problems?
ExxonMobil stands behind the performance of its products. Should you have a lubricant-related problem, call 1-800-ASK-Mobil. We will investigate your claim and help determine what happened and why. If your vehicle failed due to an oil-related issue, we will reimburse you for the required repairs.
