The AC on the 94cde blows cold air. A few weeks ago the ACC started having problems. The fan would not come on unless I decrease the setting to "LO" sometimes. Last week the symptom changed to the blower motor stays always at hi not responding to the ACC. Although I can adjust the temperature, having the blower motor always blowing at high speed isn't good for the motor I thought. And I knew I need to fix the fan speed control, the devil behind all this.
So I removed the transistor from the fan speed control to solder the new one I bought months ago. After I installed the repaired fan speed control, the blower stopped working altogether. The ACC funstion seems to be okay. When I lowered the temperature setting, I could hear the AC compressor engages and the condenser fan kicks on. Just no fan blowing.
This is the blower motor I pulled from the 94cs wrecked two years ago from which I honed my blower motor removal skill to 30 minutes in three attempts by the way.
Did I fixed the fan speed control? Or do I need a new blower motor?
