The best advice I can give you is to first find a good independent shop (a good start would be the shops listed on Saabnet) and talk with them. Use them for your pre-purchase inspection. Don't buy a used Saab without a pre-purchase inspection. Also make contact with your local Saab club if you have one. Also get a Carfax report. The bottom line with old 9000's is, is that if you've got to get it repaired at the dealer, it's going to be way to expensive to keep. Saab's are great road cars, but stuff happens to Saabs and you've got to plan for the expenses.
