but you need figure out which is the "hot" side that runs to the pump after pulling the fuse. I don't have the instructions in front of me here so I'm writing blind! If I recall there were two tests, one for the relay (which you say you hear anyways) and then the fuel pump. If you get 12v after the relay then you got power to the pump. Then a continuity test will determine if the pump is good.
I think I just did trial and error till I determined the logic of which side was the "right" side for the testing at the fuse block.
Maybe other can be more specific.
As a last resort you can pull up the cover in the rear and apply your continuity test directy to the wires as they come out of the connector. I may have even done it there!
