and they are P0171 and P1171.

These point to the MAF (P1171, I think) and O2 sensor P0171 adapting to a lean condition. I'm thinking that the O2 sensor is seeing lean, so it adds gas to richen things up, keeps seeing a lean condition for whatever reason, and keeps adding gas. But I could be wrong.

The plugs actually were dark, but not real bad, but all 4 piston tops looked wet, so I'm wondering if the FPR is part of the issue.

I've never cleaned the MAF, and I checked my throttle body two weeks back when I did the t-stat, and it is clean. So I'll try cleaning the MAF see what happens. Don't have a lot of time currently, so this one may go to my indy.

ANyone know how much a MAF costs if mine is dead? I don't see it on eEuroparts.
