I've done this job twice in the past two years. The first time the clutch pedal would actually hang up near the floor for a second after driving the car for a while. This lasted about 3 or 4 months and finally cleared up. I thought and hoped I was in the clear , and the clutch seemed to work fine for a while. Eventually ~30 k miles later one of the Orings got nicked and the fluid drained out overnight. So I tore into it again and replaced the slave a second time. When I removed the previous slave it was clear that it was binding a bit during operation. There was scuffing of the inner aluminum rod by the steel piston that slides back and forth with the pedal action. I'm guessing that I didn't get the slave in squarely somehow when I originally installed. After putting the new slave in this last time, I got a similar condition which was much less severe. This worked itself out within a week and the clutch seems fine now. We will see how it does as time goes on. In your case it may be something similar. There is probably no harm in running the car, just keep an eye on the fluid level. if you see it dropping consistently, you may need to go back into it. Hope this helps.
