Midas guarantees their mufflers for life - that's great, and you might need it. However, their pipes have no or a minimal guarantee, and what we call a "resonator" may or may not be covered for life - it's not a "muffler". The quality of the pipes they use is sub-par in my experience, and they are counting on you needing to replace them when you come back for that free replacement muffler.

I had a Midas system installed on my C900 many, many years ago. The muffler and pipes rusted quite quickly (well, in SAAB terms anyway), and I had the system replaced once - had to pay for the pipes. Next time the muffler wore out, I replaced all the pipes, then brought it to them to replace the muffler. Next time the muffler rusted out, I bought a Starla replacement which is still on the car.
