In 1999 I paid $10,000 for a 1993 CSE w/118,000 miles on it (same car now has 251,800 miles on it). This was my most expensive Saab, but it was only 6 years old at the time. I bought a 1992 9000 turbo w/152,000 miles for $2000 when that car was 10 years old. It only lasted until 200,000 miles when the transmission died. My wife drives a 1998 9000 CSE which we got last year w/125,000 miles for $4200. I'm moving into a 1995 9000CSE w/132,000 miles. I recently purchased that car for $1800.00, and its in super shape (just needed a radio, which I got from ebay for $32.00).
In my experience, I'd say that the 1995 CS w/88,000 miles is worth no more than about $3000, at least that's what I'd expect to be able to sell one for. That said, the 1995 Saab is a better car than most anything else from 1995, no matter the price. BTW, the "CS" model is the low end of the different models, with CSE and Aero being the higher end models.
