... rd' behaviour I had with boost found when pulling fuse 9?
I haven't left fuse 9 out for any length of time because no reversing lights as well as other accessores (cruise, sunroof, rear windows, cigarette lighter socket) with fuse 9 removed.
The effect of removing fuse 9 on my '97 - full throttle off the line:
Base boost (mid yellow) until roadspeed is ~40mph (yellow/red area with fuse 9 fitted),
Then sudden full boost - just into the red area (yellow/red area with fuse 9 fitted),
Boost tapers down to same level at ~5,000 rpm with/without fuse 9 fitted.
Worse though is that under partial throttle, medium acceleration boost oscillates between base and something higher!
Idle drops slightly when shifting into D/R, but no danger of stalling.
BOOTNOTE
Better to disconnect orange wire at the ECU pin 14 end on the '97 at least because the signal also goes to the cruise control module so disconnecting at gear selector end also loses cruise (cruise light still illuminates but cruise doesn't engage.
