Mine had two leaks. First was that little check valve in the line beside the pump. No 2 was the problem child. The tank is held in place by two 3-4 in metal stand-off that are moulded into the tank. Over time ,hey develop stress cracks around the metal. I removed and cleaned mine and then aplied a layer of fiberglass. Perfect, better than original. And yes, the tank is a pig to remove. Besides the fender inner liner removal, I found it very helpful to remove the headlight and corner signal light. Then you can really see what you are doing. Go slow or you can easily break the tank while trying to squeeze it back in place.
