sounds like it could be wiring on the fan. i had to run a new low-speed wire on my '94
do you have a high-temp switch in the upper radiator hose? if you jump those 2 connectors it's like disabling the hi-temp switch. some people get the cheap rad hose instead of the $100 one. then the A/C doesn't work, unless the terminals are connected, or the switch left hanging with the wires on it.
