I found a blow-up diagram of the seat in the parts manual, and yes, you do have to take off the leather upholstery off the whole darn backrest to get at the one little screw that holds in the headrest - what a huge pain! The little spring clip that provides the detent action for the headrest height is a weak player - a pretty lousy design and totally unserviceable. Wish me luck getting it all back together...
