Need to commisserate.

Sad end to a fine 1995 CSE. While driving home is a snow squall, I got rear ended by an old pickup truck with bald tires. Never heard the truck skid, driver was on the damm cell phone!! My car was at a complete stop, as were the cars in front of me. The truck pushed my Saab the six feet I had left between me and the car in front, plowing my car's nose into that car's bumper. Saab reacted like an accordian, crumpled in rear and front. The car in front had minor damage since its bumper cleared mine.

Truck was traveling about 30 mph at impact. I was not hurt, my Saab did that part for me. That's the happy part (no one was hurt). Sad part is I just put that car on the road less than 1000 miles ago, after doing clutch, exhaust, brakes, etc. Was driving beautifully with only 132,000 miles behind her, potentially even more ahead of it.

Don't worry about my continued membership on this board. We still have the 1998 CSE in the family.
