I've heard here from multiple sources that disconnecting the instrument cluster triggers the SRS light. But when I put a stock boost gauge in my CS, I never disconnected the battery and I never got an SRS light. I had the cluster in and out a few times too. Weird!
I know my light isn't broken because once I accidentally pulled the SRS fuse while the car was running, and that triggered the light.
Oh well, guess I'm lucky.
