Let's not get in to a pissing match on the subject. It's ment as a "Tool"...You know some tools work and some tools don't.With a "Good" battery in a 9000 it should turn over the engine fast enough so the tach needle will twitch on a start. The next test step is did the fuel pump relay latch if it didn't,it also points to the CPS signal as bad,or the relay itself. Then there is the Actron Tester that will test the sensor on the engine inplace.I don't premote just changing out parts, but i do look for simple tools to help along the way. That's what the twitch test is about.
It's like the battery voltage display built into the dash display on the 9000's after a start, how many people use it to keep track of the battery life/preformance,most likely most don't use it.
It's like the SCC unit here in the states vs Swenden. The one in Swenden can start the preheater that's avaliable their, that's not available here in the states .How nice would it be to go out to a nice preheated cabin in the car and a warm engine without a remote starter being used.Saabs were special cars driven by special people, not Rebadge GM crap.
You try to help and all others here try to help each other out here.We don't need to piss each other off.
Now with that said,I have never seen a 9000 tach that did not twitch when proper cranking speed was achived.... :) Let's get along....
