Changing the oil Posted by Andy [Email] (#759) [Profile/Gallery]

Hello all Saab Enthusiasts,
I changed my oil and filter last weekend. I couldn't find anywhere written the oil capacity of my 88 9K turbo. I put 4 quarts of Quaker State 10/40. When I checked the dip stick, the level was fine.
However, now it seems to me the valves are a little louder in first and second gear. Is it my imagination. I used 10/40 in the previous oil change.
I also saw that Quaker State made a 10/30 and a 10/40 with Slick 50 in it. Would this be a better product to use, or is it a gimmick? My car has 144,000 miles.
Thanks
