Control arm bushing torque specs

I'm replacing the front control arm bushings (the rear bushing only, the front one looked fine so I decided not to mess with it).
#2 and #7 on the diagram.
I am in the process of putting the control arm back on the car. I have one of those Mitchell cd's, but the torque specs listed seem really high.
Mitchell lists the two bolts for the front bushing as "steering arm-to-subframe bolt = 67 ft-lbs". I can't even get my torque wrench on the rear bolt, putting 67 ft lbs on the front bolt feels like I might be asking for something to break - im at 45 ft lbs so far and that seems more reasonable. Are the torque specs for the suspension parts that important to follow, and does 67 lbs jibe with the other specs out there? Or do most people get away with the good ol "feels tight to me" approach.
Thanks!
