Inadequate A/C cooling Posted by Keith [Email] (#1462) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Keith) on Sat, 26 May 2007 09:37:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
our family currently owns two 9000cs'.and with the arrival of summer here again in the northeast i'm reminded that i've never been satisfied with the cooling capacity of either of them. in recirculation mode i've never achieved vent temperatures below 55 - 60F degrees when the outside temperature exceeds 85F. during the occasional repair i've changed compressors, receiver/dryers, expansions valves, even a blown condensor. one has the auxilary a/c fan and one doesn't, still, i've not noticed that it makes a difference. oh, and i've done deep vacuum with an electric vacuum pump. pressures are within spec and there are no leaks. but, my daughter's 1995 honda civic has better a/c (and has never had any problems). is it that swedish engineers just don't get good A/C or are there possible solutions out there.
