The car is '95CDE 2.3Turbo A/T...
Upon solving low boost problem (cause is already known to be the faulty BPC valve), my mechanic has found that my stock CDE could boost up to 1.35bar before hitting the fuel cutoff!
The car is a bone stock anything, except 3" DP.
They attached Tech2 and gave it a run to test the turbo function, reading max boost on road 236 (=1.36 boost) before fuel cutoff, and that is matched to the manual boost gauge that I have on the dash.
To confirm that it's got the stock ECU, they use tech2 to read the ECM version and it just said bone stock "B234L 9000 C2".
IIRC the stock B234L engine should hit the cutoff at 1.05 bar. no more than this... So any idea what is the cause of this more allowance?
After replacing the BPC valve I've got normal boost back to 0.8-0.85 bar without any overshoot...
My mechanic said that it might be my faulty ECU. But they let me do nothing coz it's drivable with no problem. Anybody? Any clue on this??? Should I fix the problem or just let it be?
TIA!
