Is there oil all up around the fill tube? If the PCV system is incorrectly hooked up it will pressurize the crankcase and cause oil to shoot out the path of least resistance. Look on your subframe near the rear lower engine mount to see if there is further evidence of oil.
Like another poster said, if you're burning 2 quarts every 500 miles you are going to have a substantial amount of smoke out the back.
Furthermore, if your turbo was overboosting that badly, to the point it would be damaged, I assume that you would A) notice an incredible amount of power, with the boost gauge soaring way past the end of the red and B) the computer to cut fuel as the boost enters the high teens (psi). I've seen turbochargers tolerate incredible stresses, from having their coolant feed plugged for thousands of miles (whilst being driven in an insane fashion) to a stock turbo on a ford probe push the pressure north of the 25psi mark for over 10k miles, and even then (there are more wild examples) there was no way it was burning 2 quarts of oil every 500 miles.
You may want to check that the hoses on the boost solenoid are connected to their proper, respective components. Also check the vacuum system. If there exists a huge leak, the turbo might actually be spinning tens of thousands of RPM more than it is designed to, in an effort to pressurize a leaking intake system.
I don't trust any mechanics but myself and other experienced and intelligent car enthusiasts to touch my vehicles, though obviously this isn't a viable option for most.
