Search the archives for RTV, and you'll find posts by Marvin Stockman. My top motor mount was completely shot. So I took of the two long bolts that attach it the body and the motor. I had some Red RTV silicone (you may wanna go black) that I squeezed and smoothed into the firewall side of the mount. Somehow the was a little rubber left intact that centered the mount. One warm night was enough to set it in place.
As for the engine mount, I cut two pieces of an exhaust hanger big enough to fit on the spaces of the mount. Mine was completely gone with the center piece detached. I used a screwdriver to push the pieces in using the silicone as a lubricant, making sure everything remained centered. By now my fingers were red. I filled and smoothed the mount with the silicone using my fingers, spit-wetting them. I put everything together quick while the silicone hadn't set yet.
As for tranny mount, I loosened the bolt enough to let the washer loose and fall off. I tightened it again and jacked up the tranny to give more room in the upper space of the rubber insert. This time I cut thick piece of rubber hanger and squeezed it in there. I didn't bother with the lower space rationalizing the tranny pushes down on the mount anyway. Just make sure to clean grease and debris form the mount. Lower the tranny and it sits on the new piece and holds it is place. Loosen the bolt again and put back your washers. Good to go
