Did you properly grease the bearings?

Lack of grease will clacketty clack clack.

I am not sure if 9000 CV's can go from side to side like C900. If not, is it possible things are backwards?

My strong suspicion is that the bearings need to be hand packed and then the whole thing needs to be greased and the boot then put back in place.

Just my 0.02.
